Hello All,

We are currently seeking a representative to assist us in dealer/distributor management and company promotion within Japan.

In order to qualify for the position, you must possess the following attributes:

• Fluency in spoken and written English and Japanese with a strong command of business and audio related terminology
• Proficient understanding of Japanese business culture
• Background in translation work within a business or audio industry related setting
• Japanese citizenship or legal long term residency
• Age 21+
• Professional level understanding of the Japanese audio market, including prominent dealers, distributors, reviewers and trade shows, as well as market trends and Japanese audiophile culture
• Ability to travel for Japanese trade shows, as well as the occasional trip outside Japan for Echobox related business activities
• Valid passport
• Fluent understanding of all major social media channels
• Proffiency in email, Microsoft Office and cloud computing (i.e. Google Drive)

Core responsibilities would include:

• Act as direct representative on behalf of Echobox to assist in the management of our Japanese distributor and various dealer accounts. Regular meetings with our distributor as well as frequent calls/visits to our dealer network will be required.
• Act as the "Face & Voice of Echobox" within Japan, representing our company and our operations throughout the Japanese market.
• Attend all Japanese trade shows as requested, including all major shows (i.e. Fujia Avic and E-Earphone Portafests), all travel expenses paid by Echobox.
• Host events in order to promote the development of the Echobox brand within Japan.
• Seek out and organize new opportunities to grow and develop the Echobox brand within Japan.
• Coordinate and manage all Echobox Japanese social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
• Other responsibilities as determined necessary for growth and development within Japan.
• Occasional out-of-country travel in order to support Echobox in international operations, such as trade shows (i.e. CES Las Vegas)
• Assistance with Customer Support issues as they pertain to Japan

As part of this position, you will be reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Your time will be yours to manage and prioritize, allowing for the freedom to designate your own schedule to the extend your work allows.

Echobox is a rapidly growing start up with international operations, and is quickly approaching a full scale launch within the Japanese market. In coordination with the CCO and our Japanese distributor, you will be a key component in the successand development of this launch initiative.

We work hard, but we also have fun Joining this company you will become part of a larger vision to "do good through the power of music" and help change the landscape of portable audio.

This position is currently on a part-time, independent contractor basis, likely consisting of approximately 20 hours per week as well as travel for trade shows. Given the importance of the Japanese market in the world of audio, however, this position has the potential to quickly grow into a full time, salaried position, so please bear this in mind while considering your application.
