Hi guys!
Sorry if this has been asked before!
Looking at getting a custom cable for my X1 but not really familiar with different cables, so I'm wondering if they are reliable and as good as more expensive cables?
There's a specific seller: jiangzhan2012
Here's a link (don't know if linking is ok): http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5mm-male-to-male-Stereo-Audio-HiFi-Audiophile-Headphone-Extension-Cable-AUX-/111148948522?
Specs look great 6 cores 4N OCC silver plated, would they be a noticeable improvement in sound quality or is eBay/chinese sourced cables unpredictable in their quality?

Yeah, Chinese eBayers can be unpredictable.
You should look elsewhere or build your own.

I bought a cable on a whim from what my guess is the same seller with multiple profiles. I ordered a new cable for my HD580s. It shipped fast, arrived intact (though not packaged exceptionally well or anything), and the quality was tip-top. It did not feel DIY which could be either a good or bad thing depending on one's opinion. I am not one to believe in cables, but I did notice an immediate difference in clarity with my HD580. I hope this helps, since I would purchase another cable in a heartbeat from the seller in the future.
