EarSonics' two flagships: the universal S-EM9, and new custom EM10.

I got the PWAudio 1960 for the sem9. Pushed the mids forward, made it even airier, and smoothened out the treble

Thanks!:) At the end I ordered Audio Effect Thor Silver II cable. It should complement very well with the SEM9 sound signature and it should be more ergonomic than the Thor Silver II+ Version (which was the version of the cable reviewed and recommended by Twister6 for the S-EM9 but I preferred a little bit more comfort and portability). P.S Yesterday I tried the S-EM9 with a simple handmade Pure Silver Cable. OMG what an experience, everything sounded fantastic with a very 3d soundstage. Maybe the treble was pushed a little bit too much but still the clarity and separation was unbelievable. I was not a cable believer but, for new owners, change the stock cable as soon as possible, you will never experience the real S-EM9 with the stock cable :)

I just traveled for a couple of days and took the EM10, it was my date of choice for this trip. It really impressed me and served me well. I am sure the U18, Zeus were jealous.

how do you compare EM10 / U18 and zeus briefly?
Three distinctly different IEM's. EM10 is very smooth, not a very wide stage and not an "out of head" experience. Zeus not much sub bass, wide stage, transparent, extends well. U18 great treble, the most sub bass of the three and a wide wide stage.

Would anyone know if the sem9 is a filled, or hollow shell IEM?

I'm not that sure they're filled with acrylic, because that was an option for their custom line up.

Thank you. I'll try and email EarSonics themselves, but I doubt they'll give me an answer.
