E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Hello all,

I have ordered the Teak version with removable cable. Plan to use it with a Fiio Q5S TC which uses a 4.4mm TRRS for balanced output.

Anyone know where I could get a balanced cable to connect the E-Mus to the Fiio?
The cable situation for this headphone is very confusing to me.

Thanks, do you have any issues with audio disconnects with these cables?

I was reading on old Drop threads that people had problems with audio cutting off sometimes, due to the unusual internal configuration of the 2.5mm sockets that Emu uses...
So far have not experienced any of that. They are very well constructed cables, you can even order them in a specific color combination and they are not ultra expensive.

I'm talking about how they are selling most of the cups in the teak's shape now, that doesn't seem to be the case with the Ebony.
Could be that the ebony wood is too hard to work with for it to be cut like that, will ask Chan soon as to why the Ebony is not being treated the same.

Ordered their cheapest cup: Flame Magogany Type 1

Lawton says between these cups, his pads, and his tune-up kit, the cups reduce treble spikes most. We’ll see.

Interesting that ebony didnt get the updated cut.

They have some amazing looking chambers, but I could never justify spending more on chambers than I did for my headphones. Doesn't stop me from feeling jealous about the people who have them though!
