apostrophe issue is still not fixed in 1.6........!!!!!! it just made my dx50 hung ....
the uncontrollable vol is really quite annoying... I think it was introduced since 1.5.... I experienced it 3 times already... I hope I wont encounter it in this latest version......

I just had this bug while I was listening on the train home, nearly blew my ears off if I didn't react in time to unplug my headphone jack! had to hold the power button down and it reset. I thought I had accidentally held down the volume up button but I was definitely pressing down but the indicator kept running away upwards..

and now I'm afraid to change the volume...first and only time I had this happen in 3 days of use..

If you can please contact iBasso and explain exactly how it happened the quicker they can get an idea, the more feedback they have on this the easier it should be to zap the bug. Contact them from their website.

I can already tell you the volume bug is still present on 1.6 as it happened to me a few hour ago.

I send an email to service at ibasso.com about the "unpredictable max vol" bug... I hope this will be resolved soon because it may hurt people's ear and earphones.

I meant the volume bug is still present in 1.6 for me. I have not had the apostrophe bug any longer.

I have edited my above post accordingly to state which bug I meant.

Just fix up a few more bugs and add a few features and these will be perfect.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I'll throw it into the bug list as well.

When I plug my player (with Micro SD in it) into the computer, it takes ages to register with the PC, before I can actually open up the DX50 directory to put my music files in. If this can be resolved, so that it would do this at a much smoother rate, that'd be great.

Cheers.

I agree it's very close for me now, I would be more than a happy camper if we can just fix the volume glitch. I have no other issues.

Lin, does your DX50 display the correct battery? Is the meter accurate? I think mines been on 3/4 battery for a little longer than it should?

Me too. Did you guys do a factory reset after upgrading?

I did... I just learnt from this thread that it not necessary... LoL....

The apostrophe track is unstable when you force play it using the file browser.... either that it will not jump to the next track after end, hung the device mid-way or skip a portion of the track....
With my very short experience with DAP, it made me realize that "gapless" is in fact a feature and that apostrophe is so difficult to tackle...

Uh, yeah, that.
Apparently you have to fully charge and discharge the battery for it to work, but I have done that twice and a few yesterday, I went out with 2.5 bars, thinking that it would last a few hours. After 30 mins, there was 2 bars and I just thought oh well. Then after 15 minutes, it wet flat...
I think the battery indicator is finally working for me now though.

I'll let mine run flat, > charge and see how it goes.

Thanks

Does the battery icon go down in denotations of 25%? similar to cowon j3?

By the looks of things, where it has 4 increments, I'd say yes.
