The idea was to stimulate people to discuss (genuinely) what they'd be willing to pay for the DX50 - in reaction to what I thought would be taken as obvious sarcasm.

Things are worth what people are willing to pay and going on what we know thus far of the DX50, I'd be willing to pay $299 for it, seriously.  But that would be tops.

But I believe that iBasso's engineers will be able to implement the wolfson 8740 dac well. If it sounds really amazing for what some (or many, i am not sure) consider as an entry level dap, maybe more.

I think iBasso will design a great entry dap, then realize the price setting mistake and charge more on the next version, so we are lucky, we are going to get it at a good price, that is 235$, good or not good UI (I think the UI is going to be smashing, they have learned their lessons). 

 
As far as shipping, it will be the same deal than any of their amps.

Go on their site , then pick any amp and see how much they'll charge you in shipping costs, you can cancel the transaction before you get to the end, this way you'll have the exact cost. I make a big assumption, they will charge the same price than their amps.

It all depends where you live. I did mine and for example the DX100 it would cost me 32$ 3-day express shipping with tracking number (that is all they say on their site), there is no other choices.

Yeah 235$ would be a good saving, we can put the difference with the the top value on a 64GB microSD card.
