The DX340 gets the spa treatment tonight.

The Romi Audio BX2 Pro and its dedicated PSU are bringing the iBasso to the next level by adding extra layers of music, digging more details into every tracks while adding an extra analog touch. I prefer not to use superlatives (I let others doing it), but we are in these territories…

I have a Traillii OG (Black & Red edition) incoming next week and I am almost afraid of the result coming out of this combo…

@Senka : I think you are enjoying this same setup. What are your thoughts?

After some thought I have decided to focus on my guides and finding more tweaks. Anyone is free to join me in this pursuit. IT was either do this or leave the site completely. I have the IEM I love and DAP I love so I do not need anything else - hence really don't need to be on this site anymore for my own needs. I will NOT be posting in this thread again. I will post new guides and updates to my thread and @Whitigir 's so still trying to help and available to the community.

To say anything that is not positive/different POV in this thread and have some go up in arms about it is not something I have the patience to deal with. If you have any questions about guides or need help you can PM me or post in my/ @Whitigir thread. If our paths do not cross again I wish you all the best of luck. Remember enjoy the music always.

For the record that title you see in my profile is not something that I asked for. It was given to me by a lead Admin in recognition of my work. Personally titles mean nothing to me. We are all human beings and no one is better than anyone else. I would ask it to be removed except that it is promoting an awesome DAP that everyone should at least try if not buy.
I love my dx340 too and I have noticed the amount of fan boys here to be crazy. Hard to find any level headed comment but “it’s the best thing I’ve ever heard”.

In recent times I have not seen threads about any other DAP with so much hype.

DC-in 12v mounted and it’s definitely not for sensitive BA/EST IEMs. Hiss time. On DD, x-brids and foremost less sensitive IEMs everything’s fine and very good sounding indeed. Looking forward to get the Romi LPSU 12V solution to compare.

Try taking the 12 v out and reconnecting a few times. I can get hiss at times but by doing this, I can use sensitive IEMs as it gets quiet.

Thanks for this, mate. I did try before posting my last comment about my observation and unfortunately it didn’t work (so far). It’s not that tragic anyway. I have other solutions at hand and the hiss situation only applies to a minority of my IEMs.

When I am home, I use the 12 volt all the time. Adds that extra spark to the sound. I do use an excellent LPS that is very overbuilt but it is worth it.

Sorry to hear you exiting the scene, but happy to have had you here in the first place as a fellow passionate and audiophile :)
Will checkin on progress for a stable root and eventually optimization.
Haven't touched any of the 2 yet on my unit, and so far so good in regards to stability.

There seem to be some hiccups here and there when it comes to no sound coming out after swapping ports or cards, had to stop playback/restart playback in UAPP to get it to output sound, not ideal, but not that annoying as well.
Probably I could also add to the list, but right now I'm trying to enjoy the music and dedicate some time just for that...have been on the "gear hunt" for a while now and it's taking a toll on the pure enjoyment of "just" music :)
You too enjoy your gear and take care until we meet again (even if not in this specific thread), sooner rather than later :beerchug:

Doesn’t fit. These things were designed for the SP2K. The height is too low. Even thicker cables won’t fit.

The width of the 340 is too wide by a few millimeters

I just got my dx340. started the burn-in last night a normal volume with low gain.
there is a lot of advice in these 200 pages which i’ve perused and the information is great but parsed out.
i think it would be great to kind of put it together such as don’t do a firmware update, etc immediately.
i would find it really helpful if someone more knowledgeable could summarize the suggestions.
