It looks great!

I'm waiting for mine to arrive actually.

Presumably with that flap on the front there is no need to use the plastic screen protector?

My iBasso DX340 is the first device I've used that has those screen protectors. All the previous devices have been iPhones and the original first generation iPod Touch. No screen protectors and I've never had a problem with the glass getting scratched, I've never given it any thought.

So, I'm wondering why the DX340 needs screen protectors?
I think it's true to say a screen protector s not NEEDED for the DX340 or a Smartphone. Whether it's advisable is another matter. Phones in particular are constantly in and out of a pocket and may come up against any number of objects which may scratch the screen. I stick the DX340 in my pocket so the same applies. Better safe than sorry.

I took off mine because it was full of bubbles, on reality with this cover is unlikely to be needed, but also doesn't harm to have a screen protector, there are many provided with with DX340

can someone provide a website for ordering the Jutem case...

You have to either contact him directly via email or through the Taobao website which can be a pain to navigate if you don't read Chinese.
The website is good because you can see the color/leather selections.

The email should be here in the thread history, you can probably find it if you search using Jutem keyword.

Edit: Actually you will also need to login via SMS or create an account on Taobao to even use the search function. I already made an account and ordered through the website but wasn't easy because I had to translate everything.....

I have tried the Taobao way... not working for me... I do see another supplier on Aliexpress... looks a little different design...
The Alixpress one is the A6 I'm assuming, and is reportedly not very good.
I just ordered a Jutem via Taobao. Chrome auto translate worked the best for me. Ultimately, you need to go to the Jutem chat, and tell them what you want, and if you want the metal backing, ask for it (I also asked with the MicroSD card not cutout. IE, covered). They'll give you a quote, and if you are paying via paypal, they will send you a paypal invoice separately
You can ask for sample pics of the colors. To help you out, here are some sample pics I asked for and was provided:

Well thank you @Peekayoh and @npatrix, it is always useful to know the decisions others are making.

This iBasso DX340 is actually the first Android device I've owned apart from an Astell&Kern DAP I bought about a year ago but returned within a week because it wasn't for me.

In these digital times I've always used Apple devices, the first portable one being the original first generation iPod Touch in fact. Before digital took over I used Sony Walkman's starting very early with them in the 1980s.

Okay enough of me and portable devices, really I want to mention that the whole screen protector thing is new to me with this DX340 and I have got one on it now with the iBasso standard case. I think I'll leave it there until my Valentinum case arrives, which should be in about a week, touch wood.

Isnt 340 protected from out of the box ? It comes with one applied on already ?
Aha!

Thank you for mentioning this. Your post prompted me to investigate and I had actually applied a screen protector over that one that iBasso had already applied. So now I have removed my additional one. That original iBasso one is really well applied and you wouldn't know it is there, so I think I'll keep that one for as long as possible as it is doing no harm and it looks good!

IBasso includes some tempered glass ones for the front, and some plastic ones to apply to the back. It comes with a front one already applied.

It sounds like you probably put a plastic one on? The plastic one is difficult to apply without having bubbles.

Wow... DX340 with U12t and Daisy Gray - Lovely, oh man! Goosebumps

How does the AMP15 drive the U12T, do you use High AMP gain?

I had a few U12T in the past but never with newer DAPs.

Using medium gain but can definitely use low also, very good, stage is out of my head, vocals pop and details are there but not fatiguing, it's just a set that will sound good no matter what, all that considering I much prefer DD bass anytime, but the 12t always been an exception
