iBasso site says DX340 is "out of stock", what does it means? Restocking phase or discontinued as DX260 for a Mark 2?
https://ibasso.com/product/dx340/
Simply means they ran out of stocks since DX340 is so popular and flying off the selves.
There is no mention about discontinuation of DX260 or the DX340, so please don't spread any rumours based your own thoughts without any basis.

IIRC. Same thing happened with the DX300? iBasso seems to habitually have a parts not available problem.

You gotta scan your stuff for the new library to be built

I guess you need to scan the music folder.

Thanks for that guys. Do most of you use Mango ??

I had another panic - bought a new SD card, some files showing as transferred, but weren’t showing songs & then i transferred a couple of album files, that were successful, but when I played those titles back, there was crackling in my headphones & tried another pair & the same, so moved away from laptop, switched off DX340, switched back on those two titles, were ok then, so don’t know what caused crackling / interference sound ??

Also noticed, can’t play mp3 files, which I purchase from Amazon, when you can only buy a file & not physical disc.

I use Mango OS exclusively to play local files. Only use Android to connect to PC, I don't stream. Never tried an MP3 but they are supported so there shouldn't be a problem.
Audio Formats Supported: APE, FLAC, WAV, WMA, AAC,ALAC, AIFF, OGG, MP3, DFF, DSF, and DXD

Did you format the SD card *WITH* the DX340?
The crackling or stuttering is usually when the player has trouble reading the sd card because it hasn't been formatting yet.

I would assume that Sometimes it also happens when the FPGA couldnt load probably. Because after a couple rebooting, the player will go back to normal

The demand for the DX340 is high, so on our site, it is out of stock. It is quite a new DAP and is in no way nearing any life cycle.

The DX260 has been in production for some time. Parts reach an end of life sometimes. As in the case of the DX260, some parts are no longer made so we will be producing a DX260MKII.

For the AMP16, there are a lot of components on the board. Please allow ample time for everything to settle. If you don't believe in burn-in, that is fine. But things like capacitors do change over time as they settle. The ESR and capacitance change and this can easily be measured. That will change sound and one reason to put out a good product takes so long. We wait for a few hundred hours each time we make a change to get to the final sound so that you will have the best product we can make.

Please, Enjoy the Music!

I had a similar issue a couple of days ago -- eventually held down the power button for about 20 seconds forced

Totally agree with you! Such charging behavior is not to be tolerated. This is my second DX340, I could not even start the first one. So, some software glitches are to be expected, let's hope that they all be managed with future firmware updates!
Thanks for the reply the more information i can get the better case we can make.
