Applied the file patch + rest of the optimisation commands, now I just need the time of day to use it more thoroughly to check the difference they makeFunny, was looking at AP15 launcher (and Olauncher) earlier today. Since the DX340 firmware is a so-called userdebug build (a.k.a. "pre-rooted"), there is a lot more tuning that can be done. The impact of which is much bigger than switching launchers.
For those of you who know how to use Android Platform tools/ADB and are willing to try/test this (can be undone in 1 second)...just drop me a PM.

Tip: DX340 has double tap display to turn on. But it doesn't have switch to turn it off. Here's app that works well. To save the wheel

I just wish my double tap works reliably. Sometimes I'll need a triple or quadruple tap for the screen to wake

The screen protector can cause this. Mine works fine but I use the power button most of the time as that is what I am used to.Tip: DX340 has double tap display to turn on. But it doesn't have switch to turn it off. Here's app that works well. To save the wheel

Same issue on mine. Minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. It is muscle memory from using Android phones for so long.I just wish my double tap works reliably. Sometimes I'll need a triple or quadruple tap for the screen to wake![]()

So, I have made new battery packs for my DC12V modes
This new packs are consisting of NiCD 2000mAH by 12V which is about 24W to provide headroom over Stock 18W
The 2 packs are in parallel and held together by hot glues with Kapton Tape to further securing the wires outlet. Braided into a nice and organized plug.
The hisses from this packs are much lower than those packs from PowerBank. This is on the older firmware of V1.01 and not the newest V1.02
But both of battery solutions will have some hisses regardless. However, there are improvements to gain and the NiCD has better performances
Comparing to Sigma 11, both battery packs can not hold it ground as Sigma 11 has Zero hisses, even cleaner than when running without 12VDC from the player itself. Everything else has great improvements.
On the go 12VDC can offer great benefit for users like me with fullsizes Cans, and NiCD is the best solution. The set back is that I need special charger from RC hobby for the packs.
I have experiences in RC, so battery packs dont bother me. To fool proof it, there better be a fuse for rhe packs but I dont have such problems and I wanna keep the purity of the power itself

Newest firmware V1.02 and @Stouthart ADB shell commands for optimizing. The NiCD 12V in hisses is virtually extinguished
Also there are no more charging problems on my unit with any GAN chargers anymore !!!

Just got my DX340 today from Bloom

I may be posting this in the wrong location, but I have a question regarding the DX 340 versus Astell&Kern 3000m (which I have). Have any of you had a chance to compare the two?
I have the SP3k (non M) and each to their own. It's my second day listening to DX340 (not burnt in) while I feel there's debatable aspects head to head SP3k vs 340 but the DAC section in the 340 is undeniably godly! I have a C9 with DC Super gain LO and it totally spanks the quad AKM implementation in AK!
I guess my first impressions are both DAPs in standalone form excel in different areas but DX340 can be 'unlocked' to another tier above if you have time - it's more scalable and expandable.

The chocolate bar is gone, I'm gonna blame my wife for that
But I also can't find a NOS mode in the DX340.
