Quick tip: please make sure to disable Android Enhanced/Adaptive notifications (via Settings > Notifications > Enhanced notifications). This is a service that applies some "smart" logic (ranking?) to your notifications, something that you most certainly do not need on a DAP. It is known for causing problems, runs in the background, consumes a significant amount of resources, and is not easy to detect (cannot be uninstalled/debloated, only as root).

Nice catch. Thanks for the heads up

Has any tested AMP12 on their DX340 with the latest firmware?
Is there still a lot of hissing?

I'm too afraid to mess around with my AMP at this point, the random single channel intermittent hissing problem seems to be gone now but I don't want to jinx it!
Ha ha I was going to ask you the same question!!
I am still using the DX320 with the AMP12 EXN-S and love that combination. So I'm waiting to try and demo the DX340 before I buy this time. I'm still not sold on it, in comparison to the DX320 with the modded AMP12!!
Enjoy the music all :)

Same, I loved my AMP12 EXN-S (stock op amps) on my DX320.

The DX340 definitely sounds different than the DX320 as the DAC architecture is completely different. It still retains the iBasso house sound at the same time.

Finally recieved my GX16-2 to 1.35 cord and love it , they have a option for this second kind of plug and it feels super solid.

I think one can further optimize their DAP if they go one more step to reduce bloat by changing from the default google' "Quickstep" launcher used by Android. This default launcher is heavily programmed around the functionality of displaying notifications.

For myself I am using this extremely light weight AP15 launcher which has a text only interface(much less gpu & cpu processing).

I don't have Ibasso but a Sony walkman, so I cannot tell if this AP15 would work well with the Ibasso DX340. But there's the suggestion of finding yourself an alternative launcher to replace the default bloatware launcher, some have suggested this launcher as well:

Also you can further optimize by replacing the default ASOP or Gboard keyboard app with something even more lightweight like

Has anyone ordered an AMP14 DX340 Faceplate directly from ibasso? I placed an order for one on Sunday and have yet to get an order confirmation other than my receipt from paypal. I tried contacting via paypal asking for an update and got no response.

Very nice!
We got the same setup, I bought the copper weaved cable here,

Fits nicely and feels solid too.
I found this one a while ago so went for it:

Great solid build, custom length and 4 different DC plugs to choose from - great price as well :)

It takes a few days before shipping and then we send out a tracking number. The PP receipt is the confirmation. You can also email me and I can see where the order is in shipping. paul@ibasso.com

Funny, was looking at AP15 launcher (and Olauncher) earlier today. Since the DX340 firmware is a so-called userdebug build (a.k.a. "pre-rooted"), there is a lot more tuning that can be done. The impact of which is much bigger than switching launchers.

For those of you who know how to use Android Platform tools/ADB and are willing to try/test this (can be undone in 1 second)...just drop me a PM.

I may be posting this in the wrong location, but I have a question regarding the DX 340 versus Astell&Kern 3000m (which I have). Have any of you had a chance to compare the two?

I have heard both models, 3000m quite a while ago (other A&Ks as well), so I will not attempt to compare them with each other.
What I get from DX340 is so satisfying for me that higher priced DAPs have ceased to interest me.

The indisputable advantage of 3000m (however, in my opinion, not decisive in this case) is its compact size.

I would also like to hear other opinions regarding the comparison of the DX340 vs any A&K, because I have the impression that ibasso turned the table upside down with the DX340.

Here you will find a pretty specific direct reference, but I don't think it exempts you from a personal comparison.
I wish you fruitful research on this topic.
