Are there any advantages getting the g2? I bought the high endurance model a couple of days ago...
I do think the high endurance card is good enough. No need to switch to the G2 unless you are looking for bigger capacity.

High Endurance cards are not as fast as the regular cards in write speed but the key difference is in their long term endurance which makes more sense for our audiophile usage. What we are looking for(for better sound quality) is more consistent data delivery(no delays in bitstream or excessive error correction) which these high endurance cards are good at.

I always tend to prefer D4 filter with UAPP specifically because it allows more breathing room compared to D2 and D3, more air for the treble and upper mids. Bass also gets slightly tighter I think? This will also depend on synergy with your IEMs and eartips.
I still prefer UAPP with D2 filter. I like smoother sound. Same with Anni.. I also appreciate the bass on Camelot. But as you write, it depends on the headphones and preferences :)

Somehow I can only find 512GB but no 1TB

DX340 optimization guide now posted. I am now leaving this thread and site. Remember NOTHING is removed but DISABLED. If issue you can always ENABLE all modules in easy to use Windows APP in seconds. Yes my guides are more aggressive than that other member's but does NOT mean they do not work. You can do so much more with Root like dedicate entire cores to audio apps :)

OG FW does not have the annoying pause in music when connecting/removing DC12V IN and pause in music when going on battery from bypass is much, much faster you hardly notice it.

Why are people using this site instead of head-fi?

Did burn in made any difference?
Also like to know the method that you use to format this card.
Just format inside my dx340 as i normally do. Yes, the holography expanded a bit further but sound sig mainly staying the same. It may even be better than either micron or edge as it has the best of both worlds

I read here recently about the DX340 sounding flat or not 3D. Wow, that is SO different from what I hear. And I wouldn't keep listening to the DX340 if is was not an exceptional player.

I get excellent depth, 3D, layering and imaging. And again, Imaging! I can easily hear placement of people, instruments and distance. I easily rate it above the Chord products that I also like, the Hugo 2 and the Mojo.

I also saw something about being about as good a build as AK. I have taken AK payers apart. They are no better. And in ways, I like the accessibility of the boards on the DX models much better and now with user replaceable batteries, well that says it all, to me.

And I am really looking forward to the AMP16. More fun with that and high expectations.
