Response from Dignis' parent company about designing a case for the DX340:

They seem to stick with just a couple of dap manufactures now. I have a number of their cases and to me, the current crop of iBasso cases are every bit as good and far less expensive.Response from Dignis' parent company about designing a case for the DX340:

I have had this several times, I think it is a problem with uapp, because it happens when this application is running or was running. It is very dangerous and can damage your hearingHi guys,
I have a problem with my dx340 and need your help because I'm not sure what to do with it.
I have had this DAP for a couple of weeks and mainly I've listened to the music with Arya Stealth and Mega5-EST (both aren't sensitive).
Occasionally I was having cracks on the right side, and to get rid of it I needed to restart DAP.
Since yesterday I have UM Mest mk3 (definitely more sensitive). Now I hear distortions when listening louder and when some bass punch kicks
or saxophone is used with more power (reminds me overdrive effect). Even I can hear cracks when rolling volume knob while playing
I listen to Tidal using UAPP (bit-perfect) or by native Tidal player without any EQ. Even on LG AMP and LG DAC
I have last software 1.03.408
(those Mest mk3 with M11 Plus ESS works fine)
UPDATED
Factory reset helped here.
Looks as some EQ app Wavelet or PEQ from UAPP messed up with sound...
Can you opine further on the main differences you perceive between 14 vs 16?I read a lot about the AMP14 to AMP16 comparisons. They don't sound anything alike, which is nice. For me, they offer excellent differences and while I could describe all of this, part of the fun is hearing it for yourself. The one thing I did notice about the AMP16 is you have to give it time. The detail increases quite bit and it becomes more concise in sound than out of the box. The bass improves quite a bit and it really opens up. It is fun to have the choice of either one!
Which is warmer/darker/smoother?Right from the beginning, the most notable difference between the AMP16 and the AMP14 is that the first one is almost silent and immune to WiFi inference when the AMP14 picks a great amount of noise.

Not that bad. A faint hissing or maybe scratching noise that is only audible in silent music passages but you can't deny that it exists.Ahh so still has the interference issue with the DX340? How bad/distracting is it?

@Neeoo
Too early to say.
That's the nature of the tubes coming out to flourish. Too bad you can't tube rollI read a lot about the AMP14 to AMP16 comparisons. They don't sound anything alike, which is nice.
