All these talks of amp14 vs amp16 has me wondering if I should return/exchange my 16 for a 14. Thoughts? Never tried the 14 back when I had the DX320.

I mounted the AMP14 yesterday. For my taste, an immediate better tonality than the 16 and the 15. The AMP14 is a very musical match with the DAC of the DX340.

I’d love to hear your comparisons between your 340/AMP14 standalone and your 340/AMP15 fed into your EA4. Also, would there be further tonalities/improvements of a 340/Amp14 LO into your EA4?

I am very interested in your amp14 LO to your EA4 impressions. Currently I'm just linking my EA4 with amp16 via the PO A/B mode. I think I have like several days before my chance to return/exchange the amp16 is over

For the time being and only after a few hours, I would say that the Amp14 sound more "analogue" that the Amp15, which is excellent too. The Amp15 is more revealing, more neutral, maybe more "Hi-Fi". The Amp14 brings a little more soul and matter to the sound, and especially vocals benefit from the Amp14.

It's really a question of sound preferences at the end of the day between both amps. I could live 100% happy with the 15, but now I cannot ignore that the 14 exists.

Another good question. Mmmh, I don’t think I will use the Amp16 a lot now, but it’s too soon to draw final conclusions. Still, I have no reason to switch amp-cards again, as my preference goes to the 14.

I was just about to ask if there is a shutdown timer in the DX340! And here we go
Installed from the SD card. Tested. The DX340 was shutdown as promised
