I use Mango OS exclusively to play local files. Only use Android to connect to PC, I don't stream. Never tried an MP3 but they are supported so there shouldn't be a problem.

Did you format the SD card *WITH* the DX340?
The crackling or stuttering is usually when the player has trouble reading the sd card because it hasn't been formatting yet.
The DX260 has been in production for some time. Parts reach an end of life sometimes. As in the case of the DX260, some parts are no longer made so we will be producing a DX260MKII.
Any possibility that you can use same DAC in DX280/DX260MII but without the weight of SS or swappable AMP cards, DC12V In? If you could do that you would have a DAP that would sell like crazy!! Weight is 1 downside to DX340 and where I have read people are not keeping or not buying. It could be a cheaper much lighter version of DX340.

MP3 will play fine in Mango player in Android and Mango OS. For local play only I would get Nuetron. That is what I use and love being able to fine-tune everything.
To format SD card Settings -> Storage -> Under Storage click this device and choose SD Card - > upper right click on vertical dots and choose format. Yes you will loose everything on the card so will have to copy over again.
Yeah, I had to do the same thing after I found that DSD256 files and up would stutter unless I did a full reformatting from the DX340 itself.
You will loose all files as it will be wiped and you will have to recopy everything into the DX340 via USB (or you can plug the Micro SD into the PC but do not reformat it or anything.) but doing so should eliminate any card read issues.

I had the Amp14 for my 320 and was still letting it settle in, but ended up switching back to the default ampbecause of the WiFi noise. I like to stream from Qobuz or Apple Music from time to time.

I haven't noticed any interference with wifi on the amp 16. If there is I cant hear it. The amp 14 was very noticeable when tracks would change and start to buffer.

Can you design something for AMP14 that like AMP16 has to fix this issue for people or is this something Steve is better able to do because he can access tools you don't have access to? I did hear from Steve today. He has too much going on so now is not a good time for me to send him one of my 340s. He will let me know when things are good and I will ship it. A friend of mine wants his AMP14 modded.

Nope, that is out of my paychecks. The schematics of the design belongs to Ibasso. Just out of courtesy, I wouldnt ask Ibasso to provide such. However, I believe Ibasso Engineers and enthusiasms, that, in the near futures, tubes modules will bring much improvements just like the amp16 if not more .
