Me neither but I know the signature of the 240 is supposed to follow that of the 220, in large part. I own the 220. Also know that the M8 is considered a "colored" player. Warm, smooth, musical, "analog" etc.

Traillii with Sedna tips and Amp 13 on latest software is just a masterpiece.
I’ve compared it more thoroughly with stock amp and 13 is still a huge upgrade - very holographic and both crisp sounding.
Soundstage depth and width, dynamic range and tonality are all superior to Cayin N8ii in my opinion.
What I actually like in its current implementation is that it brings a lot of space volume without making it artificial while adding natural-neutral tube textures and not muffling the details.
I updated the DX320 to the latest firmware and it still in the burn in process. Can wait to hear it this weekend. Also received a dark blue leather case from Easecase and it looks very nice.
And btw Amp 13 is not fatiguing at all and if you want sound to be a bit on the fun side then it’s right PO is your choice.
It’s exaggerating influence on frequency response found in previous firmware was tamed down but not to the way becoming dead boring.

I don't think that will change. It is a design issue (or better to say limitation), and iBasso is probably not going to scrap their current stock to "redesign" the amp card. I guess it comes down to either living with it or selling it off (unfortunately). Which DOES kinda' suck; however, it doesn't bother me that badly (I'm not really OCD about this), and I will happily use it until it dies (probably).
I wonder if one uses the DX as a source to another amp, if one can hear the crackling then as well? Because it doesn't have a true LO, so still goes through the amp section to the 3.5mm connectors (even though iBasso is calling the low V output as a LO). I know that @jamato8 has used it this way, and don't recall hearing it mentioned that there is audible noise downstream.
