At least they handle all shipping etc for you and that can be a hassle. I just trained them on how to flash Ibassos so they know how to do that now.

Update.

Well, received it back. If they have replaced the battery I’m not sure what effect it has had. The digital battery is reducing by 1% every two to three minutes.

I’m not into modding/not confident enough in taking things off, when you pay this much for a unit, you expect the manufacturer can build something that doesn’t drain like this without modding. Plus I’m on a Mac so not sure I can.

Oh well. I will use it until it either dies or becomes unusable. It hasn’t enamoured me to buying another iBasso which is a shame as I really like the look of the 180 and 240.

Still love the unit but the battery is not in my good books at the moment.

Your mileage may vary.

Can you please email me at paul@ibasso.com with the serial number? I want to make sure a full check of the unit was done and with the email, please tell me what it was sent in for. Normally a full check is done, a unit is charged and then tested for battery use and all of the functions.

It shouldn't be needed but please do a factory reset and then a full charge. I apologize for the inconvenience.

iBasso Stay updated on iBasso at their sponsor profile on Head-Fi.

Did a factory reset and then ran a test.

Battery recharged to 100%
Brightness at 0
Volume at 32
IEMs plugged in
Screen tapped off
Low gain
Played music for an hour

Digital battery dropped to 93%.

That doesn’t sound too bad to me but I don’t know what’s expected ?
That is about right for a new DX320 right out of the box. Actually it seems a bit more than you might normally get. You would get about 10 hours in the current mode.

Remember that the DX320 uses dual Rohm DACs, which are desktop DACS, and are very powerful hungry.
