Glad I kept my Mk 1! (I bought the Mk II separately). Now I need to try it in my 320...but it's so hard to make myself swap out the Amp12 EXN!Omg!! Such a rare Beast!!! Amazing to pair with Dx320
Cheers!

Glad I kept my Mk 1! (I bought the Mk II separately). Now I need to try it in my 320...but it's so hard to make myself swap out the Amp12 EXN!Omg!! Such a rare Beast!!! Amazing to pair with Dx320
For me the dx320 sounds better with amp13 than with the EXN. Its more natural and it loses unnecessary edges on the notes. I find it the most natural from all the combinations. I had the opportunity to test some good quality desktop sources last days and most of them had smooth, spacious sound. Only dx323 could pick up the fight with them. In most cases it won but still i think it lacks a bit of a typical stationary bass slam. Everything else was top notch on the 323 and when the song had powerful bass, the dx323 won against all of them.
Other than just playing around or A/B(ing), I haven't used my Amp11.2 or Amp12 since I got the Amp13 card. Can't seem to put it away..Rigatio bro stop it ! You will turn the whole planet upside downnow dx323 is going to beat the meat out of desktop soon if we keep going with such amazing amps upgrades every time

I stand/sit/lay corrected... Guess I should have RTFM?!Page 3:
Coaxial Cable:
Connect the coaxial cable to an external DAC, to allow
the DX320 to work as a digital transport.
Page 10:
Coaxial Output Port:
Use the furnished coaxial cable to play music stored in the
DX320 on an external device with a coaxial input port. Mini
coaxial output has the highest output priority which would
close the phone out or line out when coaxial cable plugged
in. The output of this port is up to 24bit/384kHz or DoP
DSD128
That mini coaxial is a digital connection (digital coax).

I knew optical (or toslink) was digital, but I guess I never put 2 and 2 together with coaxial. I guess I should have though because I still have an old(er) Fiio X5 OG which also has both, of which I have used both on occasion.I don't own the 320 but I'm familiar with the connection as I have a couple DAP's with coaxial (or optical) out which I use on occassion. I have the DX220 which actually has both.
No problem.I knew optical (or toslink) was digital, but I guess I never put 2 and 2 together with coaxial. I guess I should have though because I still have an old(er) Fiio X5 OG which also has both, of which I have used both on occasion.
Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Yeah, I think they did away with toslink with the very next DAP (which IIRC was the X3II).No problem.
Have an X5 as well but it's the X5 III. Has digital coaxial only.
It's hard to find something. Only Major hifi and Bloom Audio did a review and there is a comparison vs Kann Maxx in Maxx review.DX320 has been released for sometimes now but I wasn't able to find online publication of initial impression nor even mentioning comparaison with tenors like M17, M9, N8II.
Looks like a beast by itself to tame before with see publications. Maybe Rohm sound need to be discovered with time.
