Of course they can and a lot of them do , not always with good results.
For example Arcam has implemented some very good filters at the ST60 streamer and in the other way Gustard NOS filter at the X26 pro sounds broken.
Per Gustard the NOS filter should not be used at any rates less than PCM 176.4K otherwise it will sound very dark.
I have been listening with PCM 96/24 and less.Per Gustard the NOS filter should not be used at any rates less than PCM 176.4K otherwise it will sound very dark.

I have both the dx240 leather and silicon case and I actually prefer the silicon case atm. I think it provides better protection since it covers the top, unlike the leather case. You get to see the design of the back. Also when I pull the charging cable on the top it sometimes pulls the dx240 out of its leather case. Not sure why people don’t like the silicon case.
Can you take a picture of the dap and NOS filter menu setting please.I'm referring to the one called "NOS Mode".
I can not find it.
Thanks

Is the line out of the amp1 mk3 a 'proper' line out so to speak?
