Hi, I am a new owner of the DX240 and I am struggling with using the WiFi connection.
I find making a reliable connection to an Access Point really hit and miss.
The DX240 often won't even see an AP or if it does, will just loop through connecting, authorising, getting IP address, then dropping connection and starting again.
When it does make a solid connection the transfer rate is only 10% of what other devices can achieve connecting to the same AP.
On one or two VERY rare occasions I have managed to achieve a connection that reaches over 100Mbps but this only lasts a minute or two, 99% of the time it is sub 5Mbps or sub 1Mbps.
I don't know it this is a software or hardware problem.
I've flashed all the available firmwares from iBasso's site along with factory resets and non improve the situation.
I tried 5 different APs some seem better than others but non work reliably.
I've tweaked AP settings, but nothing makes a real difference. Except changing WiFi channel can enable the DX240 to see or not see an AP.
Sorry for the long post, but is this "normal" or do I have a faulty unit?
Sounds like a router problem. DX240 is very good at picking up 5G signal or 3G signal on my router. my wifi speedtest.net shows upload of 11Mbps and download speed of 200Mbps which is what I pay for. Maybe you have an old failing router. Happens all the time.
Tdont know if it will help : " try plugging your DX240 into a computer's USB port to charge it for 20 minutes, then try to power it on. In case the battery is protected, it would be reactivated

Thanks for the reply, but there is nothing wrong with my router.
Works perfectly with all the other devices I have.
And as I said in my original post I have tried 5 different routers all with the same result.
It seems I have a hardware problem with my new DX240 as I have also discovered that Bluetooth does not work either.
I now need to return it to my dealer for another one, fingers crossed that works.
I tried this yesterday evening. Didn't work. Plugged it into the computer for 20+ minutes... Won't turn on still. Very odd behavior.
Like i said previously. DAP was off and had reached 100% charge. unplugged it so i can turn it on and use it... NO luck.
Now I have to listen to my little R3 Pro Saber or ZX507 but I prefer my DX240 sound sig with AMP8 MKII.
Any more ideas? or should I just contact @Paul - iBasso for more help?

What else you can try, try to take amp ant put it back. Also put power button and hold it very long, minute or longer. Also put it on charging and let it "charge" for a night. These things sometimes gives new life to electronics. But if it is hardware fail then yes best way is to write to paul.
You tried different cables and blew out or cleaned the USB C port? I had one that wasn't working and lint had gotten into it. I used a little brush and some alcohol.
