Here are the AMP cards side by side. Still burning in the caps on the AMP1MK3, impressions so far are favorable.

...didn't think I'd be able to leave it alone.

So I replaced the other electrolytics with the largest Silmic II's that would squeeze in. It all fits inside the DX240, just.

Listening to it now and will give it 48+ hours of burn-in before offering impressions of how it compares with the AMP3MOD.

iBasso DX240, amp3MOD, iBasso CB13 cable & Campfire Audio Solaris 2020 with Xelastec tips

My favorite combo so far with the iBasso amp3MOD.

It has a very natural sound, vocals just above the music, it is not as aggressive at either end as the other two previous amps but reaches far enough deep and high with the right earphone pairing.

There is a new update out. Has anyone tried to download and install it? I have, and it says, "Failed to install update package!"

You have to download it. Then unzip the download and the FW is there. Tried the 80% battery saver and it didn't work then rebooted and it works. Great feature.

Why would you wanna stop battery charging after 80%? Seems like using your player on a regular basis after only 80% battery charge would make battery performance & longevity worse, not better. No reason is given for why or when you might wanna use this.
It is common and saves the battery and it will still charge to 100% normally if desired. Batteries charged to 80% and discharged to 20% last much longer than full charge and discharge. My Mac computer does this as do some other battery operating items. It is the smart way to charge unless you need the full 100%.

Might have to put my DX240 on a diet, it gained .6 grams with the AMP1MK3 mod.

DX240, V1.03 Apr 20th, 2022

Improvements with this firmware:

1. Improve the Bluetooth volume control compatibility. (Android OS)
2. Rectified the bug that when using AMP8 MK2 AMP card and the player are under the USB DAC mode, and volume can't be adjusted. (Android OS)
3. Rectified the bug that album artwork would not show correctly sometimes with lock screen on. (Android OS)
4. Improved the sleep timer feature. (Android OS)
5. Added the "Battery Saver" feature. Now battery can stop charging when the battery percentage reaches 80% when this feature is turned on. (Android OS)
6. Added coaxial output to the USB DAC mode.
7. Rectified the bug that earphones with an inline mic can't be used with the AMP8 MK2.

Instructions For Firmware update:

1. Copy and paste the DX240_full_ota_1.03.310.zip to your SD card's root folder, or the DX240's internal memory.
2. Go to Android OS, press Settings-->System-->Updater-->local update, and tap the zip file.
3. The whole update will take about 10 minutes. Reboot the DX240 after update completed. You can also choose to do a factory reset at this time to clear any artifacts from the previous firmware.
