Hi All
Do you think the DX200 is still a good option? I have a FiiO X7ii and wanted to upgrade to the DX220, but have read too many posts of people complaining about short battery life. Some quoting as little as 4.5 to 5 hours.
Regards
Darren

Lol 6-8 hours is typical. There are 2X of desktop class DAC inside the player
My AK SP2000 lasts about 6.5 hours, and I don’t see AK people complaining
If it doesn’t fit the bills then Go with Walkman, it last forever.

It last 3-5 hours depending on usage. This is my experience. There are hundres of complaints and some people report as low as 1.5 hours of playback time
Apparently there is a serious QC issue with iBasso units' batteries
And this is DX220

Per the forum rules of conducts. If you don’t have the device and never used it, you can not claims about your impressions regarding anything. You have been trolling Dx220 not enough ?
You do not have the Dx200, you do not know how long it battery last or how it sound. That is fact

I've had two DX200's in the past, but returned both due to separate faults. One wouldn't connect to my Wi-Fi and the other used to boot up with a blank screen. I never had a short battery life while they worked though.

I have both the DX200 & the DX220 with most of the amp modules including the EX fan addition. It last 3-5 hours depending on usage. This is my experience. There are hundres of complaints and some people report as low as 1.5 hours of playback time

Battery life varies between 3 and 4.5 hours with new and original batteries depending on the resolution of the music files. DSD256 & DSD512 are about 3-3.5 hours from 100% to 20% charge. 192 kHz flac files are about 4.5 hours. MP3 files will have longer play times as they use less cpu cores/cycles and battery draw. I don't stream but using wifi will draw more power and reduce play time. The wifi chips in both units seem to draw a lot of power so I use them sparingly.

....let’s not be trolled back down this road againMy dx208 FE with 2 yo battery still last for 6.5 hour for flac files.
FYI please don't ask me to do any more amp mods etc, I've had a warning from Head-Fi, apparently I should do everyones mods for free. I already only charge cost for parts and shipping. My time was pretty much peanuts for the time it takes. They have also been looking at my personal ebay. So from now on no more mods, except my own and I may just delete my account

Testing the DX200's battery today. Mine was 6 hours to burn the battery from 100 -> 20%.
(If someone wants details: newest Android Lurker Firmware using USB Audio Player Pro, FLAC 16/44.1 files, 105/150 SE Volume on AMP1)
Edited: The last 20% of the battery was fast, 15 more minutes and down to just 10%

I'm having problems with my dx220, after installing the amp9 I'm getting a constant hiss from both my Anole VX and EE Phantom. There was no hissing on the amp1 mkII. I tried factory reset and adjusting gain however neither helped
Not sure if its a defective Amp9 or if I'm doing something wrong.
If anyone knows a solution or any tips I would GREATLY appreciate it.
