Factory reset not going to erase or to roll back to an old fw, and it even gives you an option to keep data files on internal memory without erasing it (so all your music files will stay intact). It's just a good practice, since it wipes the cache and resets device. Plus, I notice it often improves the performance.

I have almost tried to do factory reset but I see these. So what should I do next?

Interesting. I've never bothered with factory resets after a fw/Lurker update. I'll give it a shot for kicks 'n' giggles.

that's normal. you will have to login back to your wifi and google play store (since you have upgraded to Lurker's fw).

You won't be disappointed... I took 3 days off AMP8 to dig into AMP1 Ti (which is excellent), and I must say when I put AMP8 back on I just can't shake the feeling that it's a special AMP altogether...

Most will talk about bass but AMP8 has great treble as well, and the soundstage is very holographic

I'd love to see more AMP7 feedback!

Thanks

Hope it meets expectations
Looking forward to it

Okay, so I found out what causes the immediate battery drain when installing AMP8. Apparently, it's HOW you install it that can cause issues.

Sometimes, my AMP8 does not slide in perfectly so this ends up happening:

It goes in slightly misaligned, so I end up having to pull it back out and push it back in. This process seems to drain the battery fully.

So it either needs to be pushed in smoothly, or it cannot be pulled out when installing.

Edit: I tried this several times when I had the issue again earlier today, but the battery drain with AMP8 only happened during the accidental misalignment install.

Is this the same as the firmware on iBasso's website?

That is correct, Lurker takes standard iBasso fw and enhances/optimizes it, plus gives you Google Play, among other things.

That firmware was pretty easy to install. I hope Lurker0 gets compensation for this from iBasso or at least works for them. Thank you @Lurker0 for making an awesome product even better.

Don't worry, iBasso is classy, I guess the DX200 Cu is not a bad compensation :p
