Anybody else compared Mango app (under Android) vs Mango player (under native Mango OS) after the latest Lurker's update, to find that Mango native player has more transparency and better layering of sound? Not sure if my mind is playing tricks on me.
Mango Native really does better than the one in Android, and I observed it too (since the firmware back in January). The reason why I also tested out riding DSD512 in it, and no stuttering but only excellent performances. Ibasso has been perfecting Mango Native all along without us noticing it. I was reminded by @natemact and I can confirm what you observed is true

After some experimenting I--think--I hear better spatial cues in the layers of sound. I've spent some time trying both to record and master music so I appreciate these kind of differences, but I have to say, I am straining to hear the differences. At this point I don't think it's worth the effort and massive resources--for me, that is. The mid/side parametric EQ on UAPP is far more useful for my personal tastes. Happy listening to all though.
On the subject of Hiby link for the DX200, can any one help me make it work?! Trying to use the remote control facility via my Galaxy S9 and failing miserably. I can't seem to get the devices to connect even though they can see each other. Any tips? I assume the DX200 acts as the surver? Thanks...

Switch to Mango mode to play Native DSD512
DSD512 is hell lot of work, a device have to be capable in both technicality and software limitations. Dx200 from Ibasso has already achieved this, which i have not seen from other DAP. The only one so far is Lotoo Paw Gold Touch, But it is not released worldwide yet, and 2x the prices
It is really depending on your taste. I would choose amp4s and amp8 in general even though I do not have IT04. But they are perfect match with my Spartans using EA Ares II 4 wire balanced 2.5 plus adapter 4.4/2.5...
Have only converted 60 seconds of sample DSD512 as went on holiday one day after receiving then attending Canjam.
First impressions on DX 200 Amp1Ti are that at Redbook quality, it already sounds the best all-in-one player I have ever heard, the well recorded Crowded House track sounding as if you were four feet inside the studio when it was recorded. Everything sounds right, pristine and musical, and I don't mean warm, like many now use the term musical, but natural and flowing
Changing to DSD512, it's as if you have taken a few steps forward and are 10 feet into the room. Not saying if it's correct or not but it's certainly different. Great thing is you have a choice, and it's worth trying to see if you like.
Poster above, there is no dedicated setting for playback, player denotes whether you are playing FLAC, mp3, DSD whatever via file type.
What app are all using to play the DSD512 files on the DX200? They play fine on the Mango player but UAPP loads and starts the file then stutters and stops.
