I like the light blue one. Does it feel soft like the Miter or Dignis?
He just took that pic today, shipping out tomorrow and I should receive in abt 10 days.

Mine is sheepskin but calf skin is also an option.

Haven't owned a Dignis or Miter case (don't like that kickstand on the Miter so went custom ).

My promised review on AMP 3 and AMP 5 is live now!

Pretty lovely AMP modules!!

I have both the X7II and the amps and the DX200 and amps. I find that the DX200 with the AMP5 is a little better than the WM1Z single ended and with the AMP4, better as well. With the AMP3 some areas I prefer the 200 and some the WM1Z. My X7II is loaned out right now but I have compared and don't find it as good as the WM1Z with the amps you mention and the difference is noticeable to me. With AMP4 there is a clear step up with the DX200 compared to the 7II and a transparency and openness with the AMP4 compared to the 1Z, is better on the 200. That is my opinion. I enjoy them all.

At this moment I do not have AMP4 for DX200, so the highest I compared so far was X7mkii with AMP5 and DX200 with AMP5, from which DX200 with AMP5 is slightly more detailed :)

I can't compare things to 1Z directly as I only heard one from AVstore from their showroom and don't have one to take detailed impressions, so cannot comment on that, but I liked DX200 with AMP5 better than 1Z when I tested the two against each other :)

Based on your personal preference, X7mkii sounds like the best price/performance ratio. If detailing is not what one favours, then X7mkii could be the best dap for its price. Am I right?

The difference in price between X7mkii with AMP5 and DX200 with AMP5 isn't quite that big, and it really boils down to how you like the design of each, the firmware, and who you trust more with their support.

Both iBasso and FiiO are outstanding and I grade both in the golden companies range, both will help you with your issues and both offer great price performance ratio.

+ The sonics of DX200 have slightly more detail, and are slightly more dynamic and vivid.

+ The screen quality is better on DX200, larger display, better color contrast, better max brightness (outdoors usage), better general detail

~ UI and firmware navigation will be a matter of taste

~ Device looks and aesthetics are also a matter of taste

~ Volume wheel and usage are also a matter of taste

~ X7mkii has something similar to Lurker's mod, but on X7mkii it costs money, so some of the cost evens out if you want to squeeze all performance there is

- X7mkii has 2 mSD slots, if this is important to you :)

Well if only at $200 more the DX200 betters the x7mkii, and furthermore competes with the highest end DAPs that cost more than $3k and even betters them for some users, I don't see how the Fiio has the better price/performance. The greater clarity/details of the DX200 is just one of many areas in which the DX200 outperforms, according to many reviews. But, the Fiio is a bit cheaper.

Now,

1. That is the truth

2. I think that X7mkii also competes well with those 3K USD DAPs :)

If 100$ - 200$ are relevant above their price, X7mkii is a bit cheaper, but DX200 is indeed the better overall performer, but again, you need to consider that X7mkii was already amazingly good, DX200 is just even better :)

:L3000:

In the grand scheme of things, and even just on a long term investment basis, and most especially in this particular hobby of ours, the price difference between the two DAPs is minimal. So spending a bit more to get better to much better (depending on the AMP module used) SQ depending on who you ask, and more versatility (more variety in AMP modules, plus more driving power for when and if needed further down the line), seems like a no-brainer to me. The two SD slots seems kinda like a moot point to me since you can get cards up to 400gb if I'm not mistaken. But then again I don't know how much music any given user may have.

Ii for one dont really need two card slots , 64gb and a 64gb card is all the music i carry .
I did have 2 128gb cards in my ak100mkii but sometime struggled to pick something to listen too
