Are you serious?!?  I could have swear PS was 2.5mm trrs....  Never mind, just checked the pictures - it is

And, yes, LPG takes 3.5mm TRRS and converts to SE.  I have no problem plugging in RE600 into LPG.  Thank God DX200 will be following mainstream with 2.5mm connection

Btw, Fidue new mmcx balanced cable is 2.5mm TRRS terminated and comes with 3.5mm TRRS balanced adapter, something up your valley if you have any standard mmcx connector IEMs (talked about it here).

Oh man you already know it will be 2.5mm?

I still don't know why there isn't some convention where all manufacturers get together and agree on connectors and plugs, would make life so much easier.

  please, no 2.5mm TRRS

AK240 already showed how disastrously unreliable such a ridiculously small plug / socket can be

This ... 100%

Just because A&K made the stupid stupid decision to use this totally unsuitable connector there is no reason for everyone else to follow suit.

We are well used to dealing with different connectors and using adapters when necessary.

Please iBasso, be the ones to finally have a quality balanced connector.

Regardless of A&K decision and the fact the every A&K DAP carries 2.5mm trrs connector, now you have Cayin N5, Lotoo PAW 5k, L&P L3, X7 w/AM3, Onkyo DP-X1, the Bit Opus#1 and I'm sure more to come.  Add to this many aftermarket cables terminated with 2.5mm trrs connector, and people who invested hundreds of $ into these cables.  Now, you can see which way market has shifted where 3.5mm TRRS is supported (and pionered) by HM901/700 and Plenue S, oh, and GeekOut v2 usb dac.  I personally never had any issues with 2.5mm connectors or durability of thinner jacks.

I haven't had any issues with 2.5mm TRRS but prefer either 3.5TRRS or the connector used by RSA but so many have gone to 2.5 now. Who knows, but I have adapters for 2.5 so I don't care too much but still prefer 3.5 if this type of connector is to be used for balanced.

I hadn't realised that the disease had spread so far.

I'm always surprised at the extent of agonising and debate amongst audophiles over cable types as opposed to connector types.

Any balanced jack type is fine for me cuz I can change it to be anything either 3.5 or 2.5.

Curious if the DX200 will support MQA audio format.

I'm still in market for a new DAP and now Pioneer XDP-100R has caught my interest. To wait or not to wait.....

If you knew how long the wait might be you would be able to make an informed decision.

With not even a hint of timescales over the last three months, I for one have come to the conclusion 'nothing to see here' and moved on.
