And imagine DX200Ti with AMP9..... It's going to equal pure bliss!!!!!

To tide people over until AMP9.... I picked up a Little Bear B4-X dual mono tube amp from Amazon to use with my DX200Ti. Only $94 right now shipped. I wasn't expecting much. Ordered it more for a play toy. But I got more than I bargained for. This little amp is so transparent and refined. My jaw dropped when I listened to the first note from it. I've owned quite a few portable tube amps, ALO CDM, ALO Cv5, Fostex HP-V1, ect... and this is one of the best. The HP-V1 was a little more refined, but with the ability to upgrade the OPAMPs in the B4-X I think this will be the best. I have a pair of Burson v5i-D OPAMPS on the way that are supposed to turn this little beauty into a giant killer. We will see....

Awesome!!! I want it too!!! Lol

Awesome, been waiting on someone here to comment on the Little Bear. Ordering one tonight!

Edit: did you get the single or dual version of the OpAmps?

Yeah the B4-X is a great little amp. I would recommend an iFi Iematch with the 2.5mm or 3.5mm connector depending on your cable too. Sensative IEMs are a pita with tubes.

FYI, a pic from Burson's site of an upgraded Little Bear B4-X with v5i-Ds. Notice the Dale resistors (blue and tan) and the red WIMA film caps. The power supply uses Nichicon caps (Black and gold caps in the bottom right of the pic). And the 2.5 mm output is balanced like the ALO CDM. It doesn't have a balanced input though. Pretty impressive for $94.

I'll post a howto and some pics when I get my v5is in.

Lol! I am pretty lazy....I only do things that needed to be done :). But for spare parts, I have "drawers" of different stuff....LOL!!
Looking at the PCB of the B4-X... The solder points are not there for the 4.4 pentaconn either. I wonder if Nobsound would create a board for us?

OK I think my DX200 battery has truly died. It does play for about 20-30 mins then just shuts off (this is with the new 1.06 fw). I may try of flash it back to 2.1.94 and see if's better again but would prefer not to be stuck on that fw just for a functional DX200.

I had problem with battery recently with symptoms you described, but on 1.0.5 FW + Lurker patch. After installing 1.06 FW DX200 battery was it used to be. Software updates might cause this behaviour. Try to reset everything and installing 1.06, if it is the same reason as it was in my case, this might solve the problem.
