Sorry for the inconvenience. It varies here. Sometimes it is good and sometimes not. We have a hard time controlling it.

The new firmware is amazing. Now the scrolling thru album is very smooth. No more stuttering in mango mode. it has now rival AK & Onkyo UI in smoothness.

I feel the latest FW 2.8.198 is higher power than previous FW. Previously I use high gain, 2.5 mm output, volume 65/150. Now I decreased volume down to be 57/150 for same loundness. I am not sure whether it is just my imagination or not.

I just had exactly the same impression after the upgrade while listening to AMP4. Now, it sounds closer than ever to WM1Z

Btw, anybody else noticed that interface and touch responsivity is faster now? Looks like iBasso did their homework with more optimization!

Yes, i notice the same with interface, like i mentioned in my post above. It is very smooth now. and yes too to the AMP4. Now it sounds like WM1Z

I find that on AMP4 it now sounds more 3D and better separation, more air and space than the WM1Z. Listening to Eric Clapton, Me & Mr. Johnson. The best I have every heard it sound!

I am also a different tonality and timbre. Even more musical, with a beautiful bell like quality to some instruments and notes. Also a very nice fullness to the sound.

The mango mode is still slow, android mode is a lot faster than mango.

2.8.198L0 is available for downloading. Unfortunately, I didn't finish the work under deep sleep mode... probably, next time...

In this version I've restored built-in screenshot functionality: the option in the Android Settings to show the button in the statusbar (actually, in the bottom bar) works as it should. Here is an example:
