What would you are the pros and cons of each?
You may read specs and discussions to compare, but some people care about sound at the first place. Anyway, I'm wrong person to ask: I use DX200Cu. Period. :D

Could someone compare DX200Ti + Amp4s / Amp8 to Hugo 2 please?
I am wondering which of the 2 should I take....

I'm assuming you mean in terms of sound quality as the function/form factor differences are pretty far apart.

They both perform wonderfully but have really different strengths. What makes the H2 special is the unique conversion which creates a highly transparent and resolving presentation. It unfolds spatial cues and other fine details that allow you to enter into the atmosphere of the music. The DX200 has excellent conversion but it is more stock ESS, not quite as "special," natural, dense, or resolving as H2's FPGA. I really think what sets the DX200 apart is the analog section. It takes that Sabre sound and expands it to fill the atmosphere around you with palpable and dynamic sonic images. The H2's soundstage is large but this where the DX200+Amp8 has the advantage in every dimension (width, height, depth).

This is all highly subjective, but to me, the H2 renders a panoramic window though which I can effectively see the musical presentation in its recorded environment: it "brings me there." The DX200 feels more holographic to me in the way it arranges each sonic element separately around me: it "brings the music here." The H2 is more "demanding" a listen to my ears because it's image is so dense. The DX200 has more space and surrounds me with sound.

Both have their advantages, but If you can't tell from this, I will say clearly, my strong preference is for the DX200+amp8. I know many H2 users would say that it has greater realism because the musical image is rendered so coherently that they feel like they can reach out and touch it. For me though, the DX200+amp8 feels more real because it reaches out around me in a very dynamic way.

To those of you who own Amp1 stock, and even Amp1Ti (not necessarily), but also other modules such as 4/4S/8. Have anyone of you considered that the bass on Amp1 is very References and of good quality but wished that it had better dynamic, energy, and articulation ? Then the mid is not so boring or dry ? Just honest questions :D

Not at all, I’ve found Amp1Ti an ideal match for DX200 Ti, wouldn’t want warmer or increased bass. No yearning to try other Amp modules, if I want purer sound I’ll switch to Hugo 1 and 2, but all three allow me to enjoy the music, without searching for more.

I do agree that Amp1Ti is quiet good.

Now, where is my New Mango ? I want my Mango!!

Thinking of selling my dx150 and buying a dx200. Is it a big upgrade?

I think it should feel rather nice :)

DX200 is a very organic upgrade to DX150, everything that works on DX150 also works on DX200, but everything feels evolved. The sonics are similar, but a tad more textury and detailed :)

Of course, when using the same AMP module (?)

And AMP7 is in the house :) Some fun times tonight!

Except from AMP6 (I didn't get DX150, but I might get DX120) I will have owned every AMP ever built!

DX120 has no AMP, so you will still need to buy DX150 to complete your ibasso amp collection :L3000:

Yeah I know
I think it's a very interesting option to have smaller cheaper DAP handy, can't always travel with several K$ in your pocket :p Even more sensitive now for me as I own a Ti which I can't ever replace...

Oh , and when you play around with the modules, you will love it further more. I did, but nothing is as fun as Amp8, this thing is a crazy beast awaiting to be unleashed

Did you try/get AMP7?

Just been an hour but I am very impressed, I need more time but it's clearly way better than AMP5 and if it's not at the same level as AMP8 it's at least on the same plane field as AMP8!
I feel like it's been tuned with a very similar philosophy : extended yet controlled and textured bass, musical but articulate mids, with great extension and detail up top while retaining smoothness. And soundstage is very similar which I didn't expect... I have to check imaging and technicalities but AMP7 is immensely enjoyable.

It's great to be able to enjoy AMP8 like performance with single ended gear I own... Final E5000 are just singing well beyond what they should be capable of it's just mind blowing for 250€ IEMs, I still can't believe it...
