I’ve never been able to resist opening something up to see how it works......even if I don’t understand what I’m looking at
Didn’t need to open my 200 up, already seen the pictures on here. You can tell a lot by the standard of someone’s finishing, even if you don’t understand it.
I agree with @Layman1 though, I’d be satisfied to just plug and play.

I tried my best to illustrate how it compares to F9Pro to my ears, and as a IEM in general. I have a feeling that sound alone isn't always enough to mention as comfort can also be an important deciding factor when picking one's next purchase

Yes, comfort is also very important when listening for longer periods of time.

I like the idea @Fernando Goñi suggested, a factory upgrade of internal components into your existing DX200. Don’t know how feasible that is, maybe if there were enough numbers so Ibasso could make a profit and that way everyone’s happy.

Yes, the cat was officially out of the bag at CanJam NYC'18 Took me by a surprise, for sure. Thanks to @icefalkon and @jamato8 who did a fantastic job at iBasso table!!!

What we know so far: it's close in dimensions to DX200, just a bit smaller and lighter in weight. It will have a dual AK4490 DAC, it will be compatible with all DX200 amp modules (yes, amp modules are removable) but obviously due to a different DAC, don't expect the same sound. Been told that available internal storage is 32GB, single uSD, and 2GB of RAM. It has Android 6 and Mango, so OS/GUI will be the same as DX200. Also, expect to side-load apks like in DX200, though I heard a rumor Lurker is cooking a new ROM. The expected price is $499.

Keep in mind, DX200 is still a flagship! DX150 is not replacing it, just makes it more affordable, giving you a taste of DX200

Thank you for the kind words Alex!! Yes the DX150 is coming! It has a sound similar to the iconic DX100 and is the middle ground between the DX80 and the DX200. I really loved this DAP and can't wait to get a hold of it again once the packaging is finished. It really had the oomph of all my rock songs...and I mean everything from Queen to Metallica to Sabbath...that the DX100 had. I was testing the DX150 with my Senn 650's, the IT01's/IT04's, and my JH Angies.

This is the DAP I'll bring with me onto the train back and forth to work.

For now I"m using the DX200 but am not happy about it...
