dt-770 copper wire exposed

So I don't think it's supposed to be like this. The part on my dt-770s 250 ohm where the wire connects to the headphones in that

part the copper wire is exposed. I haven't been brutal to these headphones at all, infact I treat my hd595 like crap and they are in perfect condition.
Is this uspposed to be like this? I can't seem to push it back in either.

It is not supposed to be like that. Get some electrical tape from radioshack and wrap it. Or if you were looking to recable anyways, now the time.
Its not isolated so it will pick up stray signals and noise, it is 250 ohm so probably wouldn't affect that much. They are still at risk of other electrical input so you definently want to get that done.
You can even use standard tape for now.
