Typically its to avoid paying our taxes. Which does not make them too sympathetic to begin with, as you can imagine.
A company has no sympathy business. Business is business. Income vs expenses. Too high a tax rate on a certain business model, makes that business model unsustainable.

They avoid paying "your" taxes, by not selling to you. Love the Europeans, hate socialism. Hold on, isn't that an oxymoron?

I work as a sales&marketing manager. I confirm companies don't have sympathies. Customers, however, do.
No vendor can be sympathetic to everyone, and gaining customers sympathies has a cost. Picking one's own poison is everyone's problem, I guess.

Just an FYI, I got the green light that Drop is sending me a BMR1 sometime before the general shipping date. I'll do a deep dive in testing it out, and if possible using pictures and video to describe it.

Thanks friend. You know I’m listening to you, and I’m talking to Drop about what you’re talking about. Never say never!
In the meanwhile tell them to enable shipping to Mexico, I had to use third party fowarding services the last few times and it was a nightmare (and expensive af) you could just charge for international shipping directly and let dhl deal with the taxes…

In the past, Drop didn’t ship to Mexico but they do now, including the BMR1.😃

We do have shipping to Mexico in general, unless a specific product is region-locked. Taxes and tariffs must always be paid, but the customer pays those, so taxes are not an obstacle on Drop’s end.

Ended up ordering two pairs, even before reading the reviews.

I received an engineering validation sample, so I’m doing a write up to describe its flavor and listening notes.

Please tell us what you were using on your desk before trying them, too.
Just before arrival, I was using various headphones and the speakers built into my M2 Mac mini 😄. However, I constantly have a Creative Labs Roar and iRoar Bluetooth speaker floating around to different rooms in the house, I had the Creative Labs Katana desk-sized soundbar on my desk in the past, and also pairs of Sony and Logitech computer speakers. I use Chane bookshelf speakers for my TV, though I also have a pair of Polk Monitor II bookshelf speakers (the larger ones with three drivers each).

Just waiting for Drop to post it as a development story.

Yeah… supply issues significantly delayed production, even though the design has been ready for awhile. Drop did get the materials needed to the factory though, and the factory was working through the weekend and all this week to make them. I believe the first run of over 1000 units are on track to deliver in July now, and each run is being produced in order. We’re you in the 2nd or 3rd run?
