Drink one for my Dad (1993-12-21)

Cheers to your father and cheers to all of you! It's not easy to be without loved ones - this time of year especially, but at least the spirit remains immortal through our memories.

Ironic that we tend to get blurry while we're at it!

I'll have a drink for your Dad tonight, it's a little early for me right now. Sorry for your loss, I'll be a wreck when my Dad passes on.

Nice idea Joshadot. I'll have a pop at lunch for your pops! I feel lucky all the time that both of my folks are alive and relatively well at 85 and 81 years young. Like Jay, though, the blow to come will be crushing.

Cheers to Joshadot's dad and to all of us!

Skol!

I will put one away for your father tonight, Josh. And I will remind myself to be thankful for being able to have a drink with my father tonight at the party.

Prost! To your father's life, and his glory thereafter!

Very loving and thoughtful of you to remember him in this way each year.

I'll toast the man with an oatmeal stout from a local micobrewery. It's got some espresso and chocolate mixed in with abundant but not overdone effervescence.

Cheers to your dad!
