I ordered the ifi DSD nano, and will decide which one to keep after listening and comparing the two. I can post my findings here if anyone is interested.

I also have the Shure 535 Red Limited edition with the new DragonFly Red USB DAC, both were purchased brand new in early 2017.

I can confirm that when using the Shure 535 w/ the DragonFly Red, there is a slight noticeable hiss/buzz when listening in quiet hotel rooms. It is kinda annoying. This happens when using the DragonFly Red on my laptop or with the iPhone (via USB-3 camera adaptor cable)

But when I plug the Shure 535 directly into the iPhone jack, there is no hiss or buzz at all. It is silent, however the music quality is low. Music does sound fuller and more dynamic with much richer bass, when listening with the DragonFly Red, but the hiss is annoying when listening to acoustic music.

If anyone has any suggestions for a portable DAC/Amp combo to use with iPhone, please let us know!

Does this really happen with all sensitive IEMs? The SE535 are rated:  Impedance: 36, Sensitivity: 119
