I think none of them have a battery. A large black rectangular box can be isolated power supply (DC/DC converter). Will verify later.

Hi everyone. @sajunky introduced me to this thread.

Are all of these isolators as good as or better than:

I realize they are less expensive- but Alex Crespy and John Swenson of Uptone Audio say the chip in this item is top. They ordered some for some new usb isolators they plan to make themselves.... They also told me the proper place to isolate USB is not on the PC or streamer side but right before the DAC or DDC; which makes sense because it reduces the chances of damage by EMI or RFI getting in through the cable between the PC and DAC.

Nah, it helps a cable ground potential convert to EMI. It makes it difficult to deal with later.

Rule #1. Deal with a source noise at a source before it converts to EMI.

Rule #2. Deal with EMI on the receiver side.

I don't understand why it's so expensive, but I saw this pop up and the other stuff that Vezzoso makes is pretty high quality and I've heard some people say some very good things about their DACs

I guess, optional. Some PSU's come with two-prong mains plug, phone chargers by example.

Sorry, this is old chip (low and full speed only), not sure will be UAC 2.0 compatible. Only for old DAC's, maximum 96kHz.

Yip, saw this one today. Very basic, that one "no stock" would compete with $80 model. You can get one, then later connect in series more advanced part with external PSU connector. .

Not sure that’s an LHY product as it does not appear on the official LHY vendor’s product pages. Very easy for AliX sellers/manufacturers to stick a brand name on things. Might still be good.

Interesting.. a venn diagram of products sold via that Taobao store and the Beatechnik LHY product pages and shop would only have a partial overlap. A number of products available on one store but not the other.
