While everyone else is still waiting, I just want to say that my Chimera is sounding fantastic. After a little over 200 hours the top opened up and sound came into balance. Truly the best headphone cable I have heard, and a very worthwhile purchase despite the wait. Maybe a little darker than Prion4, but once it has fully settled the refinement, fullness, and smoothness are just something else.

Doh, I pm’d Peter asking about termination plans for hd800S on chimera, darn it, he provided a solution. Terminate to 3.5 and buy an ultrashort 3.5 to hd800S adapter. Well then 3500$ usd that’s almost 5 g cad. I’ll sit on that till next Black Friday, even then might be gun shy but there’s your option folks.

Man, I just sold my Prion 4 and Nirvana to dig myself out of the Chimera hole, but man selling the Prion 4 hurts. I just don't need it anymore, but it is the most sturdy cable I have owned (before Chimera) and it just performs so well. I might end up kicking myself, but it's hard to justify multiple cables esp with the Chimera around.

It would take financial and emotional commitment to move from prion 4. I’m sure there’s utility in doing so, but all things in this hobby at a certain level, has diminishing returns.

Was thinking of trying Peter's new Symbiote SP V3 silver cable (8-wire)...any impressions of this cable, and perhaps expected sonic differences with the Symbiote 19 Fusion?

Cant say about comparison but I got that cable when it launched, what 5 +years ago. Use it with noble encore, fine cable.

which of peters cables sounds best wit h meze elite?
im using moon audio black dragon now,what i like about the black dragon is that it has a pitch black background! no rfi/emi issues
its a great all copper cable,i just find it a little dark sounding with the elites,and not enough air up top.
i also have the upgraded meze silver and copper cables.
they are the worst horrible sounding cables that i have ever heard. they are noisy and microphonic to the extreme(to my ears)
so,im looking for an upgrade,but i do not like overly bright either...
and must be dead quiet background
any thoughts???

Anybody else notice the Clone Silver cable is gone from the website? The only option is a clone fusion (copper + silver).
