Don't buy any FiiO product from SainStore on Amazon and how to distinguish a genuine FiiO E6 from a fake one

I recently purchased an E17 from fulfilled by Amazon. I just wanted to make sure that E17 doesn't have fake versions. I have looked over the differences between a fake and a real product listed on the first page. I am a bit worried because the instruction manual has some typos in it. The word "importance" is spelled incorrectly in my instruction manual. I don't know if Fiio actually made these typos in the manual or not? However, it does have a serial number. Is there anyway I can make sure that I didn't get a fake short of opening it and looking at the battery

There are not fake E11, E17, E10, don't worry about it.

So is that a yes on the BaHaMa E6s being fake? I accidentally got one since it said it was sold by XSRS, but when I clicked on the profile after, it was sold by BaHaMa. The clip is thicker and there's no serial number. I charged it for about 10 minutes and it lasted maybe 2 on low volume on my earbuds. Now It may be that it just wasn't charged long enough, but even so, wouldn't it last longer? I didn't want to risk charging it more.
Printed out a refund on amazon for defective parts saying it was a counterfeit.

Wow, okay..I just received my E6 bought from Amazon from JMS International / DIGI MALL USA. It has no serial number, the manual also looks cheaply made and looks just like the one from Sainstore...This stuff is everywhere! I'm not willing to open this thing either...

The fake E6 came with a very poor user manual which is not printed , they just copy our user manual by photocopier。

The E6 I received today came with the serial number on the box, has the manual properly folded and everything looks perfectly fine, but I noticed that on the back, instead of saying E6 in the white outline letters, it says Fujiyama. Does this make a difference?

Yes, the new batch all come with the name of Fujiyama because we names all our amp by the mountain's name in the world.

I've just received a Fiio D3 DAC from Dealextreme and the sound is horrible, if I put the volume in Windows anywhere past +/- 60% it distorts and the overall sound is muffled at any volume. I just couldn't understand how this DAC could be so bad while it got great reviews everywhere so I decided to take a look at the print inside. I found out that several components are missing compared to the photos that were posted with the reviews. Here some pictures I made:

Compared to what I saw in reviews (just one example):

As you can see several resistors, diodes and even voltage regulators (I think) are missing!

Is this a (bad) revision of the original model, a manufacturing error, or is this a fake?

Hello all. i am new to the audio scene and many people have recommended fiio to me, but after seeing the head-fi headline I was a bit worried so I signed up just to make sure. I am looking at this combo from ebay:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/FiiO-E7-E9-Headphones-Amplifier-Earphones-Desktop-DAC-/270788768208?pt=US_Headphones&hash=item3f0c44b1d0

Is there any chance it might be fake? Anyone had any problems of legitimacy from this seller? Thanks for your time and good day.

Just do not want to waste my time if they are fake.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, they are supplied by our authorized agents, but why not buy from MICCA store who can provide the best service.

it will not be fake FiiO because not fake E9, but ebay is not a good place to buy our products because most of the retailer in there are personal.

Cathy,
I bought mine sometime in November 2011 on Ebay from seller cicipark2010. As I have original packaging I can tell that is has no serial, loop is thicker, but manual is ok - print not best quality, but it is no cheaply photocopied. I was very curious so I opened the E6: everything inside speaks of clone, but what is more interesting, battery is the same as original, with the same code on it.
Speaking of the amplifier itself: it does improve sound on second preset, but battery shows some strange behavior, it dies unpredictably quickly. like after a few hours.
Have you heard of any cloned cases dated last year? Mine looks like a clone, but you'd tell everyone back in 2011 if there was a problem with clones. This is tricky.
