So, what do you think of the EML Mesh plate 2A3s?

Russian 6N1P and 5U4G

I used to include the Shuguang 2A3B but their tube factory is closed since last summer and not sure when it will reopen. So i’m considering switching to either Psvane or Sovtek.

Over two years into owing the Stellaris, I still can't get enough of it. I do believe the tubes are the weak link and this amp truly deserves 2A3 single plates or the new production acmes to start to shine. Don't get me wrong, even the run of the mill 2A3 will surprise yet the amp has so much to offer it's a shame not to let it stretch its legs.

Not a bad light show

You got it. The monoplate RCAs are the cream of the crop NOS and the Acmes are the current best new production. I got Acmes at Grant Fidelity and paid extra for select pair. I ordered RCAs from Brent Jesse. Price was high, but cheaper than I have seen on Ebay. They have good rep too.

You seem to have a similar pairing to my DNA system. Schiit Yiggy and Ragg except mine is a Stratus. What's your music source? Digital files? CDs ? ???
My Ragg does't get much use. Does yours?

Hi,
Nice setup you have, looks comfortable.

Until the Stellaris arrived the raggy was the main amp. From the first two hours of listening to the Stellaris, it is unlikely the raggy will see much use in the future! As this is my bedroom system, I try to keep it simple with either Squeezebox touch or computer interface as the source.
