Stellaris #13 in the house!

Doing some initial listening with the stock tubes before trying some tube rolling
Pictures dont do this amp justice, it looks absolutely gorgeous . The build quality and finish is incredible , and i think this is the first time ive ever complemented the build quality of any amp.
Time for some sleepless nights :)

What an amazing collection of gear that you have, congrats! In due time, please share your thoughts on the Stellaris versus Studio listening impressions.

I believe the KR RK is more accurate but the EML certainly has a lovely tone. I also prefer it. I'm fixing to have my first listening session with the combo and new Norne Silvergarde 3. Warming up the Stratus! Wrong thread, sorry. Thumb's up though!

2587CBA0-6D1E-47A4-A7D8-832F017C5248.jpeg #15 checking in. Just using stock tubes now to see how it sounds. For those interested in the amp, Donald received my deposit on Jul 16th. I got the amp Oct 1st. Looks like he was building others (#14?) but that was only a 2.5 month turnaround. To be fair his original assessment was ~4-5 months. Great job.

Just came here to say that the Susvara + Stellaris pairing was the most impressive thing I've listened to since the HE90. Tube selection was U52, Ruby Tiger's 6N1P and AVVTs. Sold my Utopia the same day.

What volume are you using with the Susvara? Balanced or SE input? The Susvara is the only headphone I don't want to run in the Stellaris, it needs just too much juice and may wear out the tubes faster.

Tubes work at high voltages, how that translates to current (or to power altogether) is a question to me...
I guess that the Stellaris is transformer coupled amp, and not OTL ?

The Stellaris is a class A design (all single ended outputs are) and accordingly the power consumption is roughly the same at idle or when playing loudly. Thus, enjoy your power hungry headphones with it.

Push-pull class AB and B have differing power consumption at idle versus full power.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, the Stellaris was lended to a friend and arrived today at my home. Volume is between 7 and 8 (stepped attenuator), balanced input.
