Just wondering .. I am using ver 3.3 Firmware, I must have been sleeping. Never found out about 3.34 Beta til today.

So .. can I use all my Firmware content for 3.3 in the 3.34 Firmware ? I am going to try it .. and hope not too many things break.

It just came out yesterday. Seems really stable so far.

I installed your theme and all I can say is WOW great job. I really like it but I'm going back to stock theme. The reason is because it will be hard to read the smaller font at night when I'm not waring my glasses. If I had better  eyes I'd  surly be using yours.

I updated to the new version ... and it is working fine.

But having the following issues .. and I am sure it is just me.

Where can you default Resume Mode ? .. I do not see anything for it in the default.ini. Also .. how do I default the Play Thru Folders to ON ?

A bit of a sidebar here...my apologies if this particular question has been thoroughly addressed elsewhere..
 
Does anyone know if there is any effort being made fix the album art problem in all of the recent X3 FW updates? I've never seen FiiO respond to requests to fix the cropping that all the recent FWs do to album art.
 
FW 2.1 handled the artwork just fine, but ever since FW 3.0 and beyond, it seems that all artwork is very noticeably cropped.
 
FiiO has done such an admirable job of dealing with myriad other issues in the FW updates, I wonder why this one has - at least as far as I can tell - been left unaddressed?
 
Any thoughts on this?

  Back with another update.....(you guys are probably getting sick of them by now)
 
Refined the colours a bit in a couple of themes
Updated the theme selection pic to more accurately show what they look like
Added a new volume image. A little hard to see with a light bkg/artwork, but still usable until I figure out a better colour scheme.

One thing (small) I don't use album art. This gives me an ugly gray looking screen when playing music back. I think its the default something.. if that screen could match the theme it would be nice

I use a generic missing artwork across all the themes - except for the pipboy one. Mostly because I'm just too damn lazy to make/think of screens for each theme. What I'd suggest is to go ahead and unpack the fw and replace the image with whatever warms your tubes.

 
As with all my themes I have no problem if anybody wants to modify them, just make sure you upload it for others to enjoy.

The only response I have heard is that FiiO thinks is works the best for everyone being cropped.  Not sure their reasoning is sound on this one.  Hopefully they finally hear all the requesting on the forums and make a change!
 
I would like to go one step further and bring back the play display toggle.  There used to be the option of Cover, Lyrics or ID3.  Lets bring that back!

Having that old display option was probably the best thing about the early fw

. At this point, with the new x3 just around the corner, I honestly don't think it's going to be changed. I just hope that they finally get m4a genre fixed. Right now genre play is basically useless to me because it reads the tags wrong - been like this since the beginning I think, and all DAPs. I also made a comment about this (and the artwork) over on the fiio forums, but seems they're gone for CNY.
 
 
<edit> I just uploaded a cleaned version. There was a bunch of unneeded files in there again which may or may not cause problems (one of the reasons I'm taking down the older versions - stuff keeps getting mixed up). Same link as before.

When FiiO is done with the original X3, they should release the source code for the firmware. There's a lot the community can add to it (bug fixes + feature requests).
But then the FiiO guys might even fear that the [X3 + Community ROM] combo might stop many from upgrading to the newer one.

  Hey guys! I'd like to share with you my new theme for 3.30 firmware. It's called Minimal Flat #2.
Well the name pretty much describing it - flat and minimal. You can choose either 1 or 2 theme. Their almost identical but second one might have some problems.
Feel free to use any graphics or whatever. Oh yeah almost forgot  I also made a custom boot animation.

I love this theme so much ... but don't know how to make it work with the new FW3.34 ! i want it
