Dear connoisseurs of high-quality sound,
I want to tell you the story of the creation of full-size flat magnetic headphones with orthodynamic radiators of new generation, developed by our company after a careful study of the construction of various planar radiators. After the experience gained we have a lot of interesting things to showcase to the whole world.
What are our goals:
1. Create high-quality open planar headphones.
2. The sound quality level should exceed all known DIY-projects and be approximated and be on par with the best known in the world top samples of planars.
3. Do not aim to reduce the budget and to focus on the application of advanced technologies, of the manual labor and the use of expensive, high-quality materials.

So, we begin the project from the magnetic system. In the photo you can see it is in draft form, but adhesive residue will be washed after its tests and
it will take an exemplary look.
The magnetic system fundamentally has an aluminum cassette, in which by super strong adhesive glued powerful neodymium magnets, allowing to strictly control the membrane all over the plane.
Thank you all for your attention.

Hello, i have experience in design and constuction of electrostatic and ribbon magnetic headphones and i know that the tension of mylar plays significant role. How you adjust the the correct membrane tension?

Yea i remember one explanation behind the lcd-4's felt ring that is used to purposefully used to increase ease in pressure because without that the driver will just constantly blow out from the pressure alone, having an alleged 0.5 microns of thickness, makes me wonder the longevity of some flagship, ultra-thin diaphragms
