also, I just had an idea, in order to reduce the amount of adhesive left on the diaphragm you could use an adhesive that also gets dissolved by the etchant so there isn't adhesive left where there aren't any traces

Hello, i have experience in design and constuction of electrostatic and ribbon magnetic headphones and i know that the tension of mylar plays significant role. How you adjust the the correct membrane tension?

Yea i remember one explanation behind the lcd-4's felt ring that is used to purposefully used to increase ease in pressure because without that the driver will just constantly blow out from the pressure alone, having an alleged 0.5 microns of thickness, makes me wonder the longevity of some flagship, ultra-thin diaphragms
