DITA Audio Project M Discussion Thread

Loving these IEM's...
Was worried about treble spice but all good for my old ears.
Bass level also better than expected after reading early reports.
Fit is very good for me.
A big plus, which I think can sometimes be overlooked, is how much good isolation contributes.
Modular cable design is also great.

Revisiting this Combo after my last audio connect.

Navigator has been my staple for the last few months and is wonderfully built. It’s sleek, sturdy, compact and feels solid in your hand, with a premium finish that gives it a simple yet industrious look.

It has a slot that holds a Hex Allen key with an outer cover, secured by magnets. This can be a bit cumbersome at times, as the cover sometimes slides off when putting it in my pocket. However, it was handy for unscrewing and changing the DACs on the XD05 Pro. Maybe they could use a locking mechanism along with the magnets?

Additionally, the Navigator doubles as a phone stand, providing a convenient way to prop up your phone while enjoying your music, making it both functional and versatile.

The Navigator delivers a refined and immersive experience. The clarity and precision are really good, revealing the finest details. The bass is tight and well-controlled, providing a solid foundation without overpowering the other frequencies. The midrange is rich and natural, making vocals and instruments sound full-bodied and lifelike. The treble is smooth and extended, offering just the right amount of sparkle without any harshness.

One of the highlights is the spacious soundstage, which gives a great sense of width and depth, making the music feel more engaging and three-dimensional. The imaging is precise, with accurate placement of instruments and vocals within the soundstage.

Overall, the Dita Navigator offers a balanced and dynamic sound signature that works well with a wide range of genres. It combines technical proficiency with musicality, making it a pleasure to listen to.

When I first listened to the Project M at HPZ Connect, I felt it didn’t quite have the best synergy with my Navigator. However, Super Chonk had a different opinion, suggesting that it actually paired well.

Given that an audio connect is not the best place to judge a piece of gear, I decided to give this pairing a try once again. Thank you @gadgetgod for letting me spend some quality time with the Project M.

Will share my thoughts on Project M and its synergy with Navigator.

I have both. Project m has more treble and less bass than the pilgrim. Pilgrim is more balanced sounding, project m is more detailed. Whilst the project m is on the bright side of neutral, to me it doesn’t become sibilant at all, really well tuned and has an airy sound.

Both are really nice though, I rate both highly and don’t regret purchasing both sets.

I found the Pilgrim to be too spicy up top whereas the Project M are sounding great to me in the treble. I do find the Project M have slightly less bass though. I wish the two had a baby.

But the bass does EQ well.

I’m not sure how, as the project M objectively have more energy in the treble. Not only does it sound like this to me, but can be evidenced by measurements:

Either your hearing is unusual, or there’s an issue with one of your units

The actual reason is none of the above - the fact is charts are not the end all be all of the actual sound

Cool, can you post a picture of that? Would love to see how that combination looks like 😆
I really like the combination of Project M with the Vortex Cable Eddie Squared! It gives more body to the overall tone while maintaining the high resolution nature of the PM
