I'm hoping some one can tell me what the difference between the DT770 and the DT770 pro models are. I don’t see anything on beyer’s site about the Pro versions, but several retailers still have them in stock. Was the Pro model simply replaced by the straight DT770 and some retailers are still clearing out their inventory of the older Pro models? Am I way off base?
 
And I’m just curious if there are any noticeable sonic differences between the models.

Pro model, esp the 80 Ohm version, are bass cannons. I personally don't like them that much for music anymore but I use them for gaming with an Astro Mixamp. For gaming I love them and is the reason I keep them around.

The pro have different drivers and more clamping force.
