Hi there,
 
Considering buying one of these two.. the price difference isn't maaassive, so I was wondering how the two compare side by side? Just things like the overall sound signature, difference in sound stage etc etc.. How they would perform straight out of a laptop or iPod unamped would be helpful too? Basically I could afford either but not sure if it's actually *worth* the step up to 1100.
 
Does anyone have experience with both?

No-one? I suppose it's maybe unlikely that anyone would fee the need to get both..!

One last bump.. does anyone have any experience powering either of these straight off an iPod?

I know (or I'm pretty sure) it can be done with no problems with the 510's, would the 1100's be any different?
