anybody know how well the diana phi pairs with a wa8?
In term of sound, for portable amp, WA8 has great synergy with Diana Phi. may lack some loudness if you use weak dac or very low volume recording though.
anybody know how well the diana phi pairs with a wa8?
I use the Diana V2 with the Chord Mojo 2/Cayin C9 with outstanding results.
I would go with a stationary balanced amp with a dedicated balanced DAC. I had also tried it with a Cayin RU6 and am now with a Schiit Ragnarok in combination with the SMSL VMV D1SEHas anyone used Cayin n8II with Diana V2? Is it a good combination? Does this setup fully use Diana capabilities?
Regards
Thanks, but I do not want to invest as I have spent 3,5k Euro last time for Cayin. So that is why I asked the question.I would go with a stationary balanced amp with a dedicated balanced DAC. why they look so washed out?
Have you connected Diana V2 directly with Cayin N8II? What was your feeling in terms of the power from Cayin ? Was it enough for Diana ?The Cayin C9 is outstanding with all Dianas, especially when using the SE input. Balanced input doesn't work as well for some reason. Seems to be a thing with the C9.
I have used Hugo2/Mojo2/N8ii to feed the C9 and all three have been extremely successful pairings. I sometimes prefer the tonality to my desktop setup (Metrum Onyx - > Cavalli LG).
It's called "pastel". I like the way these look, but I already have a brown one.why they look so washed out?

5watt on the impedance of the Diana TC are not enough?????GSX-Mini is a good match but will not drive the Diana TC at its fullest. Pretty solid choice if not the best for the price nonetheless.
When i was looking out for under $4k SS amps i had my eyes on the Liquid Gold from Cavalli (9W @ 50 ohm i believe) : https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/cavalli-audio-liquid-gold.19883/
There was a used model on ebay a few days ago that went for roughly the price of the gsx mini.
Powerman + Formula S or any XI Audio seem like a good pairing too, but you're already in a $5/6k figure
