I actually buy glasses with really thin arms to avoid this with other headphones. Now I need to get abyss specific glasses.:)

Just tilt the headband forward or back on top of your head to change where the thickest part of the ear pad rests, or wear sunglasses:)

that's a quite a price reduction - good luck with your sale. :relaxed:

i neglected to mention in my earlier posts that the diana was noticeably less efficient than other headphones, with the exception of the hd820. i had to increase the volume by around 10 increments for both the diana and hd820 in order to volume match them with the other dynamic headphones that i auditioned.

They will be added to our website in a few days for preorder, or you can arrange for your dealer to get you a set. Expect to begin shipping by mid June.

Our review of the Diana Phi is now finished.

Blown away by the Diana Phi. It can suck up some good power also and come out singing without breaking a sweat.

Very nice and informative write-up, thank you!

I was surprised about the improvement brought by a relatively powerful speaker amp (100W / 4Ohm) like the TToby on the Diana Phi over the Formula S drive.

Have you tried the TToby with the AB-1266 as well? Given the efficiency figures (88dB/mW - 46Ohm vs. 91dB/mW - 31Ohm) the AB-1266 should benefit even more by the additional juice.

Only tried the ab 1266 on the formula s a few years ago, it's a unit I would love to get some time with.

Yeah the ttoby surprised me also in a good way. It's very resolving on the low end with a good dac and pre amp.

I originally was using it to test the HE6se from Hifiman and thought why not it's low enough spl and sure enough it was pretty convincing.

Thanks Marcus for excellent review! You mentioned trying the Diana Phi with Chord Hugo 2". Would you say running the Phi only on a Hugo 2 is a sufficient combination?

Oh that is a good one because I used it primarily as a DAC. I would say its ok, you won't be lacking in detail. I just love the power a full desktop gives me.
