So it's the JOAL.

The fact that the first half of the accompanying YouTube video is them talking about how much easier it is to manufacture, and basically nothing about Joal vs MR vs DZ.

Sounds like they've found a way to make a cheaper DZ?
At 30 Ohms also slightly easier to drive, with 4.4mm standard termination sounds like it’s geared towards portable use.

There are a few review units in the wild, so we should see some content coming soon and I am hopeful for their impressions on exactly this. But our sound impressions are on each product page if you'd like our notes on them. :)

I would have thought that trailing the community a week ago over this with a teaser, then releasing a ten minute video on it would be the perfect time to summarise what's unique about the new headphone and where it sits in the lineup. The video doesn't really do that other than some very vague comments about how it handles 'space'.

I just think people might like to know a little more.

No Fibonacci design aspect?
“A new high-performance line is born”

My guess is they wanted to differentiate JOAL from the Diana line from a design perspective. Curious how much that translates to sound signature though

@LowBeat91 I don't know what you mean with DMS modded. But to improve the stock pads: bass ported pad adapter?
The hotspot a headphone creates is just as important as the sound itself. Its not just about the bass but how the audio image is shaped. The closer your ears are to the driver, the more the acoustics naturally change, and with the Diana V2, this effect is especially noticeable. Instead of simply projecting sound, it feels like the music has a defined focal point that draws you in, creating a sense of depth and presence that makes every note feel more tangible.

After trying so many headphones, I almost forgot how incredible the V2 sounds. It completely pulls you into the music. The soundstage isnt particularly wide from left to right, but it gives you this open window effect, as if youre looking through the music rather than just listening to it. The depth is absolutely mesmerizing and addictive, stretching far beyond what most headphones can achieve.

Loved this, and the Diana V2 is one of my favorite offerings in the used market. I can't afford a $3K headphone, but I can afford a used Diana V2 for around $1K-ish.

If you can amp it correctly, you'll be rewarded with an amazing sound signature. I love how it performs with my A&K DAP (ACRO CA 1000).

Hip-hop doesn’t demand top-tier resolution. If that’s your main genre of music, I’d look for a fun dynamic headphone like the Klipsch HP3 or Focal Radiance. Someone suggested (to me) the ZMF Eikon, too.

My Diana V2 sounds its best (to me) with Rock and R&B music (using the vegan pads). Rock especially shines with planars.

The leather pads made electronic music sound sublime, but that’s not my preferred genre of music.
