Starting a thread for the new Dethonray's Listening M1. It's a compact desktop DAC/headphone amp! Just slightly larger than a CD case but powerful enough to drive any planar magnetic headphones. Welcome Head-Fiers.

Received the package already. Impression soon. As they claimed it can even run Hifiman Susvara at ease, I won't manage to testify that. But I have Audeze LCD 2 (Pre-Fazor), Sennheiser HD 6XX and newly released Aune AR5000 to test with this for Full Size Headphones. Whereas the first two are fairly power-hungry.

AR5000 by nature is very effortless so no problem for M1 to handle it and it sounds very natural. Surprisingly very close to HD6xx Though I'm yet to try the different modes.

thanks, noticing you have DTR1+ have you heard the Honey H1?
I am wondering how does the M1 sound compared to Honey H1
I have heard Honey a long time ago. That's the only thing I didn't have in the entire Dethonray portable lineup.

That's why it's hard for me to compare exactly. I think it's better. But definitely better than Pegasus SG1 Gold.

A very simple yet convenient design from Dethonray. The housing carries the machining quality we used to see in a Dethonray product.

Sound Impression soon.

Yes. Best thing is the versatile support system. Can be used with anything. Also, the burn-in time recommendation is 20 hours at least

This thing for real? Overall design screams it's a $45 knockoff chinese product (even that's an understatement) - for starters the shape of that volume knob... like seriously?? looks downright dreadful - also the colour on that volume knob needs to be matte black/silver - that gold colour had to be one of the worst options.. Also that logo thing on the top needs to be removed completely. These are just the most obvious flaws - not even going to mention the font for that "listening m1" inscription and the overall look of that gain knob. You can't seriously put out a design like this and then put 2.5k msrp on it

Aesthetics are diverse and there is no single standard, so it's better to leave it to professional designers.
The entire surface is very delicate and beautiful, similar to the texture of my Mac Air, and the volume knob is also great to use! The metal texture of the logo is excellent, making the panel not monotonous and more luxurious!
Please do not subjectively judge everything, just like judging a book by its cover.
