Thanks people...that gives me new hope for when I get home (was thinking there was a guaranteed month to wait while unit went from NZ to China and back).

Never lose faith, friend! :)

It should solve itself if it is firmware based (the problemy)

Managed to lay my hands on a used unit of DTR1. Some late nite listening with the Isabellae and EX1000. Both single DD sounds great with the DTR1

Recv my replacement unit 3 days ago. Old unit was shipped back prior to the golden week when the close attention and support from Anson and his reseller here couldn’t resolve the power up issue I encountered after the 1.2 firmware upgrade.

Even though it just had a 20hrs of burn in, I feel the SQ of this new unit has better balance, depth, layering and detailing. Bass more refine, the sub bass is super addictive topping up with that atmospheric zen feeling at the background whenever I’m on Manfred Mann’s Earth Band albums is just incredible for a pocket friendly DAP.
Finally, a match made in heaven- DTR1+, IMR Semper.

Has anyone used sony wm1a and DTR1+? I have wm1a and like to try DTR1+! Any suggestions?
Notice you’re in SG. I don’t own a Sony, but you could approach Ethan for a demo unit. Otherwise, if you happen to be around Punggol Park area, by all mean PM me.

To my ears, a wonderful barebones natural sounding DAP. If muscles and musicality matters with fading and backup music floating harmoniously at the background you won’t be disappointed.

Couldn't revive my unit after all, just can't turn it on, tried everything so sending it back to China for inspection. Removed the battery from it because there might be problems with customs because of it. That's bit sad but of course Anson is helpful with sorting it out ASAP, hope there will be less hassle with customs and I won't need to pay additional charges.

Hey guys, I recently got a used dtr1 and was wondering if someone could help with a question on the charging cable.

I’m based in the US, and the previous owner is based in the EU, so the included power cable has an EU style plug. What do you think is the best way to use it here? Would a simple plug adapter work, or would there be an issue with the voltage change? Hoping for a simple fix, as I wasn’t aware of this previously!

Thanks all!

Don't own DTR1 but I would say check adapter's specs which should be written on it. Some adapters work perfectly in different regions, some don't.

It turns out you are correct, the charger works 110-220v, it just needs an adapter plug.

DTR1+ sounds amazing with my Tia Fourte. Great pairing.
