Too big EA4.....search for a portable amplifier

However.......in general how does Clarinet sound ? Warm ? Neutral ? Technical ? Slow ? Fast ?
Warmish, thick, rich, smooth. AKM on steroids.

I don't think it's for me then.... " Hot and dense " just no.
I'm looking for something VERY VERY NEUTRAL. Fast, hyper technical, detailed, clear.
It is neutral compared to other Dethhonray products.

It’s $200 and highly musical. It won’t outgun stuff like the picture below. It will bring you hours and hours of fun. There are many worse ways to spend $200 in this hobby.

In the picture I see ibasso......and the other one?
Both are dac-amps. The iBasso D16 will fit what you're seeking. The one at the bottom is the Onix Mystic, another AKM 4499. Both are north of 1K though.

Personally, I am not sure what dac-amps fit your needs, especially at this 200 price point. iBasso stuff will be more to your taste. You will need the mid range and up. DX260 dap, DC Elite dongle. The latest hype that has legs, DX340 dap. Another thing to consider. High resolving, high dynamic range, mad extensions on both ends. You will need IEMs or headphones that can resolve them, and cables that won't muddy it up.

A good place to start, will be to check out CS 8 channel dac products. You can find used DX260 for a reasonable price nowadays.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. If your goal is clear enough in terms of technology and parameters, I think Topping's G5 can be tried. This brand also heavily promotes electrical features. It is similar to LP.
